Grindleford Goat 2018
The Grindleford Goat cyclosportive will be running again on Sunday 23 September.
In 2013, the residents of Grindleford organised a new cyclosportive event to raise funds for the Grindleford Community Shop: The Grindleford Goat. It took place in September as part of the inaugural Peak District Cycling Festival.
The event is very popular and attracts over 400 riders of all ages and features two fully supported routes, and a challenging family ride, all starting and finishing in Grindleford so there will be opportunities for all abilities.
It’s called The Goat because they climb steep hills and eat a lot! It will have an Italian theme inspired by Nonnas of Sheffield providing a post-ride pasta meal.
