Jon Rawlinson, Baslow and Bubnell’s Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator, is warning all bicycle owners that an increasing number of bike thefts across the Peak District are being reported.

His advice is to be extremely vigilant with your cycles and ensure that they are well secured, whether overnight at your home or when you are out and about.

If anyone has had a bike stolen recently do let him know as he will be collating a list for the Police Rural Crime Team so they can catch the offenders.

The Rural Crime Team is also investigating the theft of vehicle batteries from across the area, possibly involving a white a Ford Transit van or a Peugeot car with the part registration number ‘DC03’.
