Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport (BECT) is looking for volunteers to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge to help funds to maintain this vital transport service.
BECT is a registered charity based in Bakewell, which provides essential transport for people with disabilities, elderly people and community groups.
They have a team of staff and volunteers who are committed to providing transport for everyone who cannot easily use other modes of public transport. BECT operates 11 minibuses and a wheelchair accessible car, and they also operate a car scheme, where volunteers use their own cars to provide transport.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves walking up and down three mountains: Scafell Pike (the highest in) England); Snowdon (the highest in Wales) and the highest mountain in Scotland, Ben Nevis.
The only catch is that the challenge must be completed within 24 hours.
