Floods & Emergencies
Following Storm Babet in 2023, the Parish Council reviewed its Emergency Plan, which was recently approved.
The Parish Council has also bought some magnets for each household, so watch out for yours being delivered soon.
You can look at flood alerts by following this link where you can also sign-up for alerts via text or email.
Any road issues can be reported to the Police on 101.
Snow
As the cold weather approaches again, the Parish Council has signed up to the Snow Warden Scheme with Derbyshire County Council.
As in previous years, the Parish Council has some grit available for residents to grit on the paths and pavements around their own houses.
If you would like some grit delivering to your property please email the Clerk.
Keep Baslow Beautiful
Now the leaves have fallen please try to avoid sweeping debris in to the roads as this blocks the drains.
Parking
Chatsworth Christmas Market is on until Sunday 1 December and there are various other markets locally all of which are having an impact on traffic and parking in the village.
Parking enforcement is the responsibility of Derbyshire County Council. They have enforcement officers in the village every weekend of the Chatsworth Christmas Market.
Obstructions can be reported to the Police on 101 or via their website, Facebook page or X. Officers do attend these reports but the logs are also shared with the County Council to feed into traffic restrictions for events in future years.
