Helen’s Trust Appeal Update

Home » Health » Helen’s Trust Appeal Update

Following an unprecedented increase in demand for our services through 2015 we launched an urgent appeal for support in January, in order to protect the valuable support that we provide to people with terminal illness to remain at home at the end of their illness. It’s been 3 months since we launched our appeal and we wanted to give you an update on how things are going at Helen’s Trust.

Our small team of staff and trustees have been touched, encouraged and energised by the way in which you, our local community, have responded to our appeal.

We asked for support, primarily with a regular donation, and so far nearly 100 people have signed up to donate to us on a regular basis.

As well as your regular donations, many of you have responded to our appeal by fundraising for us. You’ve held pub quizzes, coffee mornings, organised raffles, taken on personal challenges and we’ve had some great offers of venues, singing and entertainment, all free of charge.

On behalf of everyone at Helen’s Trust and of the people we support, thank you to each of you who have responded to our Urgent Appeal! You have all done something amazing by supporting your local charity.

However, for the sake of our future beneficiaries, we will continue to work really hard to raise funds. We have a robust fundraising strategy which we are poised to implement and the additional support that you have given us in the past 3 months and your ongoing support will enable us to work on implementing our plans to increase our income.

We wanted to say thank you and to let you all know that Helen’s Trust is very much still here and still providing support to help people with terminal illness to spend their last weeks and days in their own homes.

You can find out all the ways you could help to support Helen’s Trust on our website If you feel you could help us in some way, please get in touch. To discuss a referral for services please call us on 01629 812759.

We pride ourselves on being friendly, open and transparent. If there is anything at all you would like to know about our charity, from the services we provide to how we raise the funds we need, please feel that you can contact me directly either by phone or via e-mail at
