Baslow & Bubnell Neighbourhood Watch (BBNW) has recently relaunched with a dynamic new approach. Each house in the village has been visited and given a welcome pack with contents provided by our partners, including Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, Derbyshire Constabulary, Baslow & Bubnell Parish Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Derbyshire County Council and The Chesterfield & District Neighbourhood Watch. The packs included community information leaflets along with crime and safety advice.
BBNW has a co-ordinator plus a number of street wardens who, in the traditional manner of a Neighbourhood Watch, cover about 25 homes each.
Everyone living in the villagehas been given the opportunity to receive community alert emails from the Baslow and Bubnell Parish Council’s clerk, who can be contacted via email: clerk.baslow.bubnell@googlemail.com.
Residents also have access to a Facebook page dedicated to disseminating information to Neighbourhood Watch members and residents across the Peak District. The Facebook page is under the heading ‘Peak District Neighbourhood Watch’ that you can find here: Peak District Neighbourhood Watch.
Prospective members are invited to visit this page and request access. Although administered by BBNW, this Facebook page is designed to attract members from across the Peak District as crime trends in one area quickly migrate to other villages.
BBNW can be contacted via email:Â baslowneighbourhoodwatch@gmail.com.
The Neighbourhood Watch will continue to be developed in the future to ensure improved safety for us all, including a proposed village CCTV system and the fitting of personal safes, the availability of RFID credit card protection wallets plus bolder and more dynamic signage.
Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information.
