About Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport
Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport is a charity operating from Bakewell, providing flexible, efficient and caring travel services for people of all ages and backgrounds in and around Bakewell, Matlock, Buxton, Hope Valley and the High Peak.
The support they receive enables them to provide vital community transport services for vulnerable people to live more fulfilling lives by providing access to health services, education and social activities.
BECT is at the heart of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District and provides accessible minibuses and vehicles to cater for all needs. Their team of friendly fully-trained drivers are available for a variety of activities:
- Door-to-door minibus transport for home-to-town trips for people who find public transport difficult to use and for outings to help people stay socially active and independent.
- Group minibus transport for local charities, community groups and clubs, for home-to-school transport and social care contracts. They provide group transport for one off journeys and contract work.
- Individual car travel for health related journeys or journeys beneficial to health and wellbeing – one-to-one car transport tailored to individual needs enabling people with age, illness or restricted mobility to travel where traditional forms are unavailable – either through timetable or access restrictions.
