Report Fraud launches

A new national service called Report Fraud, which has been developed to combat fraud, which now accounts for 43% of all crime in the UK, making it the single biggest threat to individuals and businesses.

Report Fraud replaces Action Fraud and will provide a whole service, from how reports of cyber crime and fraud can be made, to a brand new website (Visit their website) and details as to how reports are analysed and how victims are supported.

Report Fraud will:

• Make reporting easy for everyone, speeding up the time it takes to report.
• Provide updates on your report so you know when it helps protect others.
• Protect more people & businesses through the delivery of targeted and timely advice to avoid the latest threats.
• Boost prosecutions with better evidence for stronger cases.
• Disrupt crime in real time by working with partners to block fraudulent websites and accounts.

What happens next?

• Look out for the new service and Report Fraud hub which will contain the link to the new reporting tool for everyone who has been a victim of cyber crime or fraud to use.
• If you have any references to Action Fraud on websites/materials, please replace these with the Report Fraud logo (attached). The phone number remains the same (0300 123 2040) but any references to the website and links should be updated to: reportfraud.police.uk

There will be a full launch of the platform in 2026, details of this will be publicised.
