Baslow & Bubnell Parish Council is launching a Community Award scheme to shine a light on those people who make our village a better place to live, work and visit.
Every autumn, we will invite residents to nominate individuals who have made an outstanding, positive and sustained contribution to community life.
We’re looking for nominations of people whose contributions include exceptional voluntary work, supporting vulnerable neighbours, strengthening community spirit, or improving our local environment.
The closing date for nominations will be 1 December every year.
Anyone who lives, works, or volunteers in Baslow or Bubnell can be nominated. The process opens each autumn, with nominations submitted to the Parish Clerk using a simple online form.
As explained, nominations recognise “outstanding service to the community that has a positive and sustained impact.”
A small panel of parish councillors will review every valid nominations. The successful nominees will be celebrated at the Annual Parish Meeting in June, where they receive a framed certificate.
