This year’s Chatsworth Country Fair will take place Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August
There is footpath diversion from (13 August to 3 September) and there will be traffic management at Rowsley.
Normally parking is not an issue at this event, however here is a reminder of responsibilities. Enforcement of existing on-street parking restrictions (e.g. yellow lines and limited waiting bays) is the responsibility of Derbyshire County Council.
They have enforcement officers who also patrol the car parks for Derbyshire Dales District Council. Obstructions, or dangerous parking, can be reported to the Police on 101 or via their website, on their Facebook page or X. Officers do attend these reports but the logs are also shared with the County Council to feed into traffic restrictions for events in future years.
The gov.uk domain was specifically created for use by central, devolved and local UK public sector organisations. The government is encouraging all Parish councils to use this domain name for websites and emails. The Parish Council has a new website but it sits within the baslowvillage.com website so users will notice no difference.
