Family picnic 20 May

This year, the Baslow Community Orchard Group is holding a Family Picnic at the orchard on Saturday 20 May from 12 midday.

Although the orchard is an attractive village amenity, it is not widely used except for the annual Apple Day in October. In May, it should be especially attractive with the trees in full bloom and the organisers hope that as many people as possible will be able to come along and see it at its best.

The Orchard Group will provide some basic refreshments, but please bring along your own food and drinks to enjoy on the day.

The group will also be holding their AGM at 11.30 on Saturday 20 May, which will be preceded by a work party to tidy the area (from 10am).

Feel free to come along and learn more about their work and activities, or make suggestions about what else the group might do for the area.
