Jubilee bench unveiled

The Baslow WI Jubilee Picnic Table has been installed at the DDDC car park at Nether End in Baslow.

Made from recycled plastic milk bottles, it has a 25-year guarantee and requires no maintenance.

Around twenty years ago there were two soft wood picnic tables, installed by DDDC on the grassed area adjacent to the car park.

They were used on a regular basis until they became unsafe to use. The new table has been located in the same place.

Councillor Sue Hobson (pictured right) has been extremely supportive and officially launched the bench, attended by Jane Walker from Baslow WI.
