Come & sing workshop

Everyone is invited to the Come and Sing Workshop at St. Anne’s Church, Baslow, which will take place on Sunday 11 September from 2.30-5.00pm.

Join the St. Anne’s Church Choir and Bel Canto for a free open choral workshop to learn Franz Schubert’s ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’, together with a short blessing by Peter Lutkin and then sing them during a special Choral Evensong that evening at 6pm.  

All voice parts (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) are welcome and music will be available to borrow on the day.  

Some familiarity with music and singing would be helpful, but you don’t need to read music fluently to enjoy the experience. We will work through the music, voice part by voice part, before bringing it together and there will be plenty of support from more experienced singers for those who feel less confident, so it’s a great opportunity to have a go.
