This year, Bel Canto’s summer concert, ‘Something Wonderful’ will take place at 7pm on Saturday 21 June in the beautiful setting of The Cavendish Hall, Edensor, where there is comfortable seating, plenty of car parking available immediately outside and not to mention a proper bar available during the interval!
We are also delighted to welcome the exceptional Mezzo Soprano, Nicola Hunt as our special guest soloist. Among other pieces, Nicola will be performing Amy Woodford-Finden’s ‘Indian Love Lyrics’ and the beautiful ‘Mon Coeur S’Ouvre a Ta Voix’ from Saint-Saëns’ opera, Samson & Delilah.
Our choral programme comprises, the ‘Hymns from the Rig Veda’ by Gustav Holst, Bob Chilcott’s ‘Furusato Suite’ as well as pieces by Fauré, Delibes and Rimsky-Korsakov – and of course, a selection from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s much loved musical, ‘The King & I’.
