Baslow & Bubnell Parish Council serves the village of Baslow and the adjacent hamlet of Bubnell.

The Parish Council meets every two months at the Baslow Village Hall and members of the public are welcome to attend.

If members of the public wish to speak and address the councillors, this should be arranged with the Clerk to the Parish Council.

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1 CHATSWORTH (WHOLE), NO.4 EDENSOR (PART) AND NO.23 BASLOW & BUBNELL (PART). 06/05/2024 - 29/05/2024 @ DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL SPECIAL EVENT TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1 CHATSWORTH (WHOLE), NO.4 EDENSOR (PART) AND NO.23 BASLOW & BUBNELL (PART). WHEN: 6th May 2024 to 29th May 2024. WHERE: Close the whole length of Chatsworth footpath No.1 and the section of Baslow & Bubnell footpath No.23 between its junction with Chatsworth No.1 and Baslow & Bubnell No.25. Close Edensor public footpath No.4 from where it meets Chatsworth No.1 to Edensor No.10. REASON: To facilitate public safety during the movement of vehicles and animals during the setup and derig of the horse trials event. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the south, follow the signposted route along the track through the Deer Park which deviates off north-eastwards after 490 metres towards the river. Follow the path alongside the river. Cross the footbridge to join the Caravan Park driveway and follow the signposted route to join Baslow & Bubnell public footpath No.23. Vice Versa from the north. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
