Exciting partnership scheme to start soon in Matlock town centre

Enabling work will start soon on an exciting partnership scheme to improve the bus station and taxi rank in Matlock’s Bakewell Road.

Following agreement by Derbyshire Dales District Council last month this preparatory work will continue through February and will include the removal of the existing landscaping and street furniture around the building and uplifting of York stone paving for cleaning, together with a deep clean of the building. Bakewell and Norbury by-elections 

By-elections are taking place here in the Derbyshire Dales on Thursday 22 February in the District Council’s Bakewell and Norbury wards.

Six candidates are contesting the vacant seat in Bakewell and four in Norbury and polling stations will be open for votes from 7am to 10pm. Read more >>
