Baslow & Bubnell Parish Council serves the village of Baslow and the adjacent hamlet of Bubnell.

The Parish Council meets once a month at the Baslow Village Hall and members of the public are welcome to attend.

If members of the public wish to speak and address the councillors, this should be arranged with the Clerk to the Parish Council.

It's the tenth year, unbelievably, and it raises vital funds for our community shop. The ride is marshalled and the signs will be down the same day or at the very latest early on Monday, and riders are briefed beforehand to be sensible and safe. The Nanny ride is by far the smaller and should only be about 100 cyclists, spread out. See more details St Anne's Church Come & Sing Workshop & Choral Evensong St Anne's Church Come & Sing Workshop & Choral Evensong 11/09/2022 @ 14:30 - 19:00 Join us to learn and sing the exquisite choral anthem ‘The Lord is My Shepherd’ by Schubert … a perfect way to start singing again after the summer break! Join the St. Anne's Church Choir and Bel Canto for a free open choral workshop to learn Franz Schubert’s 'The Lord is my Shepherd', together with a short blessing by Peter Lutkin, and then sing them during a special Choral Evensong that evening. 2.30pm to 5.00pm Afternoon workshop 6.00pm Choral Evensong All voice parts – soprano, alto, tenor and bass - are welcome, and music will be available to borrow on the day. Some familiarity with music and singing would be helpful, but you don’t need to read music fluently to enjoy the experience. We will work through the music, voice part by voice part, before bringing it together, and there will be plenty of support from more experienced singers for those who feel less confident, so it’s a great opportunity to have a go!
