Come & Sing workshop

Claire De la Haye is delighted to share the details of her next Come & Sing workshop, which will be a special Advent singing event, followed by Choral Evensong, to mark the start of the Christmas Season, on Sunday 26 November.

The piece that you will learn is the exquisite: ‘All Praise to Thee’ by the contemporary American female composer, Elaine Hagenberg.

Timings are as follows:
Choral Workshop: 2pm to 4.15pm
Advent Evensong: 5pm

There will be refreshments served between the workshop and Evensong.

Everyone is welcome to come and sing together with members of Baslow St Anne’s Church choir and Bel Canto ladies’ choir. You will learn the piece part by part in a fun and relaxed workshop session, covering useful vocal techniques and skills along the way.

You will then have the opportunity to sing the piece as a combined choir, as well as beautiful advent carols, during a special Evensong which will last no more than 50 minutes.

Everyone is welcome to attend Evensong, so please feel free to invite friends and family. A poster/advert is attached, which you are very welcome to share or put up on noticeboards.

It is free to participate and all music will be provided on the day (to be returned at the end).

If you can let Claire have your voice part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) it will help to set up and have the relevant music copies ready. Or, you can simply turn up on the day.
