13 Bends closed until 17 July

13 Bends (A619 between Baslow and Bakewell) will be closed from today until Sunday 17 July.

The road will be closed at the junction of A6020 and B6048 for the latest stage of works to improve road safety.

Diversions are in place from Bakewell via the B6001 to Calver crossroads, Access to Baslow will be along the A623 and road users will get to Pilsley using the B6012 route leading onto the B6048.

The junction is being widened with a new right-turn-only lane to improve safety and updated road lining to alert road users. This is part of a £1.18m investment along the 13 Bends, which has been funded by the national Safer Roads Fund programme.

Baslow & Bubnell Parish Council serves the village of Baslow and the adjacent hamlet of Bubnell.
