Due to the continuing poor weather forecast, the council has decided to cancel the scheduled Monday Bakewell Market. Conditions in Granby Road and the Market Place are predicted to be challenging and their key concern was the safety of set-up crews, traders and customers.

With winds of 50mph forecast to hit Bakewell on Monday 13 November, Derbyshire Dales District Council has had to take the decision to cancel this week’s scheduled outdoor stall market in the Market Place and Granby Road. Their priority is the safety of traders and their customers.
